Macadelic | Mac Miller

By all accounts, 2011 was Mac Miller's breakout year.

With people taking notice after 2010's 'K.I.D.S.' mixtape, Mac released his 'Best Day Ever' mixtape in March and his single "Donald Trump" soon thereafter (appropriately) struck gold and even earned praise from the gaudy gold baron himself. He toured the US and Europe off nothing but mixtape love. But to take the cake, Mac Miller not only shed his mixtape rapper tag by releasing his first studio album 'Blue Slide Park', but the independent LP would take the #1 spot on the Billboard charts its opening week with sales of 144k. Not bad for a 19-year-old from Pittsburgh, right?

Well, back to make 2012 his best year ever, Mac Miller drops his first official mixtape, hitting folks with 'Macadelic' -- a trip inside the mind of the happy-go-lucky Mac. But don't mistake Mac as some teen pop rapper. With love from the underground and the hip-hop veterans, Mac looks to cement his status in 2012 as a rapper's rapper. And with features from Lil' Wayne, Juicy J, Cam'ron and Kendrick Lamar on the newly released 'Macadelic' you can see that Mac continues to step his game up. Most of the production is handled by Mac's familiar beatlayer ID Labs, but you'll also find heat from Cardo, Clams Casino, Lex Luger, Teddy Roxpin and Hannibal King.
