From the moment Jay-Z heard about the film American Gangster, the Brooklyn born rapper wanted in. The hype around the movie helped birth Hova's "first concept album," his personal rap version of American Gangster. Playing like a movie, the album absorbs you with stories about drug dealing and a life of crime.
