This documentary focuses on the relationship between Guy Fisher and Leroy Nicky Barnes, the two most notorious drug figures in the New York drug trade during the 1970s.
Fisher, former owner of the world-famous Appolo Theater, and Barnes, named "Mr. Untouchable" by the NY Times, were at once friends, competitors, and allies in the struggle to control the lion's share of America's heroin trade.
After years of circumventing the law, Barnes was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. The prosecutor at the time was former NY mayor Rudy Guliani. Eleven months after his incarceration, in exchange for a reduced sentence, Barnes phoned federal prosecutors and agreed to become an informant & witness for the US government in their case against Fisher and a number of others. This testimony was all the state would need to put Fisher away for the rest of his life.
This is another Troy Reed/Street Stars documentary you don't want to miss.
