Hip-Hop Since '87
With surprisingly little fanfare, The Roots make their Def Jam debut with Game Theory, an album unlike most releases in the super-label's recent catalog.
Despite moving the hip-hop powerhouse, the ?uestlove and Black Thought-anchored hip-hop superband releases their 8th album (6th studio) in almost two decades in the rap game.
The Legendary Roots Crew aka. 'The Fifth Dynasty' is back with their first album since 2004's Tipping Point, which reached as high as 4th on Billboard's Top 200.
Said to be a return to the jazzy hip-hop of albums past, Game Theory is already receiving very strong reviews from press outlets (like XXL and VIBE).
