Back in 2006, Albert Johnson - stage name, Prodigy of the Queensbridge rap group Mobb Deep - was pulled over with The Alchemist by NYPD around 30th and 9th in Manhattan's Chelsea district and eventually detained and arrested that evening for criminal possession of a weapon. When his case went to trial, Prodigy pleaded guilty to the weapons charge claiming the unlicensed .22-caliber pistol police found was his. With the guilty plea, Prodigy received 3.5 years in jail.
