"Castor escaped the communist island of Cuba in 1979 with his wife and children, they were in search of freedom from the communist government of Fidel Castro. After arriving in South Florida, Castor realized that working in the construction industry, would never allow him to live the American Dream. He was attracted to the fast life of the Miami 1980's scene and began his career as a narcotics trafficker. In 1996 federal prosecutors called him "the biggest drug smuggler ever arrested in Broward County" by shipping drugs through Miami and Fort Lauderdale throughout the 1980's and 90's. He would later be known as the Drug Baron and the group of smugglers he organized were referred to as, The Gonzalez Organization." Castor is currently serving a life sentence in Coleman I Maximum-Security United States Penitentiary, located in Coleman, Florida.
