New York Freddie, a well-known heroin kingpin from Harlem in the 1950s that did 24 years in the pen without snitching (his wife and step-children also went to jail with him). Sentenced to 40 years in prison on October 7, 1983 for his part in Harlem's largest heroin operation ever. The feds were allowed to confiscate $1.3 million in cash from Freddie, $1.3 million in jewelry, 29 fur coats worth about $50,000 and three Mercedes- Benzes from their raid on his Mount Vernon mansion.
