They have a home on MixUnit ever since their mixtapes set the reggae world on fire years ago. They're hip-hop infused dancehall mixes and remixes were world renowned and their production became some of the most sought-after riddimry in dancehall / reggae. Formed in 1999, Black Chiney (aka. Supa Dups) became known for remixing dancehall reggae tunes with elements of Hip Hop. Its compilations proved an instant hit with fans and helped forge a new Americanized sound of dancehall, an offspring of reggae distinguished by breakneck rhythms and a rapid-fire singin technique known as toasting. In recent years, Black Chiney, has taken to participating in highly spirited DJ battles known as "soundclashes." Several years back they captured the winning spot at Fully Loaded, Jamaicas premier soundclash festival, dethroning local dancehall hero Tony Matterhorn. Black Chiney stands as one of the top riddim makers in the dancehall scene, having creating chart-toppers for reggae superstars such as Sean Paul, Beenie Man and Elephant Man. This, their newest effort, incorporates their new and popular Drumline and Timeline Riddims.
