The Chittlin Circuit 1.5 is the classic B sides-oriented compilation from the monster North Cakalak indie collective, Little Brother. Released between their debut, 'The Listening' (2003), and their sophomore effort, 'The Minstrel Show' in 2005, it's a collection of B-Sides, remixes and unreleased tracks which were recorded during that period. Phonte and Big Pooh spit for 15 unreleased tracks from the underground's beloved Little Brother establishment, giving their fans unreleased music on the indpendent tip.
Aside from group member, 9th Wonder, production duties are handled by Illmind, Nicolay, Young Guru and fellow Justus League member Khrysis. Hip hop legend Big Daddy Kane makes an appearance on "Welcome to Durham", a dedication to Little Brother's homeland in North Carolina. Other guests include Supastition, Joe Scudda, Chaundon, O-Dash, Darien Brockington, L.E.G.A.C.Y., and R&B singer Yahzarah.
The disc was originally titled The Chittlin Circuit, and was only available on vinyl and through the internet. This "1.5"-tagged version is a re-release with tracks omitted from the first and with others added.
