Analyzing White America |
Paul Mooney

Paul Mooney is angry, fearless and very funny. Here he takes direct aim at racism and White America and hits his targets with dead-on accuracy and humor. Whether pondering chubby white women?s attraction to skinny brothers, or examining the "N" word, Paul Mooney is unafraid of the truth or the humor that is at the heart of controversy. Mooney's stand-up is legendary. Grammy-nominated for his comedy album Race, he has spent years writing for other comedians as well. He started out as a writer for Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx and Eddy Murphy and was the head writer for In Living Color, where he created "Homie, The Clown." Recently he'd been a regular on the critically acclaimed Chappelle Show, most notably as the character "Negrodamus." Bonus: Paul Mooney Interview by Producer/Actor Tim Reid About Paul Mooney Though Paul Mooney reached a new level of public familiarity in 2004 with his appearances on Comedy Central's "Chappelle's Show," the comedian has made millions laugh for over 30 years. As a television writer for the classics "Sanford & Son" and "Good Times," sketch comedy shows "Saturday Night Live" and "In Living Color," and a long-time Richard Pryor collaborator, Mooney has lived in the public ear, if not in the public eye, for a very long time. As head writer on "In Living Color," it was Mooney who created "Homey the Clown" "Dial a Nigger" and "The Brothers Brothers," never one to shy away from controversial racial themes.
